Bacon Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. thick-sliced bacon, cut into large pieces
  • lemon juice
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small red onion, halved and sliced thin
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 8 green onions, sliced

Method

  • Dressing:
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons celery seed
  • salt and pepper -- to taste
  • Mix together vegetables. Make dressing and mix into vegetables. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
