Maria's Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves French sweet (soft, not artisan) bread
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • milk to cover bread (overnight)
  • about 4 cups sugar
  • vanilla
  • rum
  • raisins
  • chopped pecans

Method

  • Mix eggs and butter in mixer and then add to bread and milk mixture. Add rest of ingredients and bake at 350 for about one hour.
