Croutons
Ingredients
- 3 cups bread cubes
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed lightly
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cube butter
- light sprinkling salt
Method
- Place olive oil and butter in large hot saute pan. Add garlic and allow to infuse slightly at medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add bread cubes and coat with oil and butter. Begin to toast on top of stove and allow to cook for a long time (about 20 minutes) over lower heat until crispy, stirring every five minutes or so; OR place in 350F oven 10-13 minutes.
